 Verona United Methodist Church became a Stephen Ministry congregation in 1997. [visit www.stephenministry.com] Stephen Ministry is built on the foundation of Christ's command to love one another. Throughout our lives there are many key times when life is difficult and we wish we had someone to share the burden and with whom we could talk. Through one-to-one caring relationships those who have stress points in their lives receive the support and care they need through such tough times. Stephen Ministers can help in times of death, grief, divorce and many other transitional circumstances of life.
Since 1997, 29 laypersons at Verona UMC have received intensive training and have been commissioned as Stephen Ministers. They stand ready and willing to assist you or a loved one if needed.
